A sticky bonus is a bonus that you receive from the online casino which you can play with but cannot ever cash it in.
But you can cash-out your winnings made from the bonus money. The advantage of a sticky bonus is that it gives you a larger bankroll at the beginning of your playing session. Sometimes they go by different names depending on the casino so you might have also heard about ‘play bonuses’ which are exactly the same thing. As with all bonuses, you must satisfy the wagering requirement before you can cash out the rest of your winning. At the time of cashing out, the bonus is deducted from your account. So for example, if you deposit $200 but you also get a $200 sticky bonus you can play with $400 but at the time of withdrawing you have say $500 in your account, you’ll only be able to withdraw $300. In my view it’s not worth mucking around with sticky bonuses unless you are prepared to make large bets or even bet it all on one hand because this helps you get through the wagering requirement. This strategy, however, is not really appropriate if your purpose for playing is to pass the time and have an entertaining evening. Also stick with casinos that have a low wagering requirement.
